	*The Scottish Gaelic Society of Victoria* are our friends to the South, and home of the Victorian Scottish Gaelic Choir. They also hold regular public céilidhs and Gaelic language classes.
	*Comunn Gàidhlig Astràilia* The Scottish Gaelic Association of Australia, for learners and speakers of Gaelic. Check out their website for other Gaelic activities, and their annual Sgoil Gheamhraidh (Winter School) for Gaelic Learners.
	*The Celtic Council of Australia* represents the six Celtic Nations and maintains their presence in Australia.






	*The Scottish Australian Heritage Council* participates in Scottish activities in NSW and organises the annual Scottish Heritage Week and Grand Highland Ball in Sydney each November. Programs of events and activities can be found at the SAHC website. The SAHC welcomes membership by those interested in Australia's Scottish heritage.
	*The Sydney Society for Scottish History* meets monthly in the chambers of its founding President, Malcolm Broun QC, to discuss matters of Scottish history and its influence on Australia, and be entertained with expert talks and presentations. The Society doesn't have its own webpage, so please contact Malcolm by e.mail for information on the programs and dates for upcoming meetings. Malcolm is also patron of Callum's Ceilidh, a traditional musical and dance party held each year in association with the Scottish Australian Heritage Council during Scottish Week (last week of November).
	Scottish House is a community organisation dedicated to promoting connection and co-operation between Scottish groups in Sydney. Scottish House also organises social events and concerts throughout the year, and details appear on the Scottish House website. Membership is welcomed.
	*The Australian Celtic Festival* takes place at Glen Innes, in the tablelands of northern New South Wales, in late April/early May each year. Mostly music performances and workshops, with food and arts and crafts vendors sourced from all the Celtic Nations, in a four-day gathering centred around the new Australian Standing Stones.






	*An Comunn Gaidhealach* is the primary Gaelic Association of Scotland, active in its advice to the Scottish Parliament and organiser of the Regional and Royal National Mods each year.
	*The Royal National Mod* is a festival of competition in the traditional Gaelic performing arts. It was founded in 1892, to promote the continued use and teaching of Gaelic language and culture, and is now held annually in Scotland in October, with a reach and attraction that is growing internationally. Mod 2008 will be held at Falkirk. See the Mod 2008 webpage.
	*Save Gaelic* is a portal site dedicated to networking the international Gaelic community, raising awareness of Gaelic and its endangered status, and promoting cross-organisational support. It houses international forums for Gaelic learners and speakers, and features the latest news on Gaelic world-wide.






	*The Scottish Gaelic Choir of Victoria* are our friends to the south in gorgeous Melbourne. Check out their new site !! They hold regular public céilidhs and classes, and are well worth contacting.
	Aberfeldy & District Gaelic Choir is our "sister" choir, our first hosts in Scotland and our valued friends. They were hosts for the Royal National Mod in Perth in October 2004.
	*Còisir Lunnain* is the London Gaelic Choir, an active group blessed in its membership with many ex-patriot Gaels, and fierce competitors at the Mod.
	Guth nan Eilean is the voice of the isles, the Scottish Gaelic Choir of Victoria, Canada. They beat us to first place at Mod 2003 in the inaugural competition for Gaelic choirs from outside the Gaidhealtachd, but heck, we can still remain friends. Can't we ?






	Celtic Southern Cross is Australia and New Zealand's major supplier to the Celtic folk musician. You can buy instruments, chord and song books, recordings and other supplies on-line, or find information on their annual musicians' Summer School.






	*The Scottish Banner* is a monthly newspaper published in Australia, New Zealand and North America, with news of general interest to Scots, regular columns and letters and feature articles on Scottish life and culture.
	Scots, the Journal of the Scots Heritage Society is a quarterly magazine with feature articles and lavish pictorials. It is published in Australia and distributed throughout New Zealand and North America.

	Clì Gàidhlig or Comunn Luchd-Ionnsachaidh is the Gaelic Learners' Association, based in Scotland. It offers news of interest to Gaelic learners, and a quarterly magazine, Cothrom, bi-lingual in Gaelic and English.
	*Sabhal Mór Ostaig* is the Gaelic College on Skye. Their website is a portal for sites for learners, and the College also offers residential and distance learning courses in Gaelic.
	*Akerbeltz* is a website of resources for Scottish Gaelic, which includes an online dictionary of expressions and idioms, collections of traditional rhymes and riddles, useful notes on grammar and a Gaelic Yellow Pages project.
